Acer Aspire S5 up for pre-order at Microsoft Store

After the success story of Acer Aspire S3, Acer Aspire S5 is all set to hit the global markets. The Acer Aspire S5 was announced earlier this year in CES 2012. It showed off some impressive features which really got the attention of numerous peoples at the event. Acer didn’t reveal the price of the Aspire S5 during the event. In fact, the technical specification of the Ultrabook was also kept behind the curtains.



According to Acer, this is the thinnest Ultrabook of the planet with just 15 mm of thickness. The Aspire S5 comes along with a Thunderbolt port which is a new technology for fast transmission of high quality data at a speed up to 20 GB/s.

Acer Aspire S5 spotted at Microsoft Store


A couple of days before, Acer Aspire S5 was spotted on Microsoft Store. Now the technical specifications of Aspire S5 are also revealed. The ultra-slim Ultrabook is powered by the Intel Core i7-2517U Ivy Bridge processor of 1.9 GHz. It has got 4 GB of RAM and for storage solutions it comes along with a Solid State Drive (SSD) of 256 GB.



A HDMI port, a Display Port and a couple of USB 3.0 ports will come along paired with the Thunderbolt port which will be one of the main things behind the success of Aspire S5. The device is loaded with a 13.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Microsoft store also brought down the curtains of Price of Aspire S5. Acer Aspire S5 is priced at $1399 and is available for pre-order. If you order this device from the Microsoft Store you will get eligible for Windows 8 upgrade for just $14.99. Acer Aspire S5 will start shipping from 25th of June.
