Apple iPad was made available 14 days before its official launch by HomeShop18, but with a delivery time of 20 working days, and what now is Rs. 7,000 premium. And today it launched the BlackBerry PlayBook as it does befor it launch, which makes us wonder if RIM will launch the tablet officially in India in a couple of weeks.
As it stands, the 7-inch BlackBerry PlayBook will ship for free with one year international manufacturer warranty. The base 16GB model is priced at Rs. 34,999, 32GB at Rs. 41,999, and 64GB at 48,999. Not too appetizing, except for die-hard Flash 10.2 fans, with the iPad 2 already available on shelves at a lower price, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 expected soon. Head over toHomeShop18 to check it out.
Out of site, we spotted the Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi) tablet available as well, priced at Rs. 38,500. It's got the same one year manufacturer warranty. A good way to get your hands on Android Honeycomb early and once again leading us to believe Motorola will soon release it officially as well.
