Windows Phones have started to gain some attention among the crowd. Performance of Windows Phone OS has been the reason behind this recent success of Windows Phone. Windows Phones are priced lower than the Android Phones. This is also one of the reason behind the success of Windows Phones. Here we are dealing with two Windows Phones, Samsung Focus 2 I667 and Nokia Lumia 800.

Both the phones have different sort of design. Samsung Focus 2 is big and has got curve on the edges whereas Nokia Lumia 800 has got point edges on all the four corners. It has got a trendy look which tends to target the youths. The materials used for the shell of Lumia 800 are excellent. It is really nice on the palms and fits into the pocket pretty easily.
Samsung Focus 2 is a larger device when compared to Lumia 800. Still, it's sleeker and lighter than it's standing rival. It has got the glossy finish which makes it more attractive.
Features and Performance:
Talking about the performance, blessed with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS and similar kind of hardware both the phones perform well up to the mark. Multitasking isn't a problem at all.
For testing the performance of both the phones we played Angry Birds with 5 Web Application and Music Player running in the background. It went all fine in Nokia Lumia 800 while Samsung Focus 2 suffered a bit (very minute) of lag in the frame rate.
Nokia Lumia 800 has got a Primary camera of 8 MP which comes straight from the Labs of Carl Zeiss Optics. The camera makes the street photography really easy. The quality of the images clicked using the camera is really awesome.
On the other hand Samsung Focus 2 stays behind in the photography test. The quality of the images clicked using the primary camera of the phone were good but weren't better than that of Lumia 800 snaps.
A secondary camera is there in Samsung Focus 2 but you won't find any secondary camera in Lumia 800. In straight words, out of these two devices Samsung Focus 2 is video-calling friendly.
Samsung Focus 2 offers 4G LTE Network whereas Nokia Lumia 800 is just a 3G Windows Phone If you are looking for a 4G phone then Focus 2 will suit you the best as Lumia 800 lacks of a 4G support.
Sound quality wasn't an issue in both the devices. Audio output was really good on Samsung Focus 2 as well as on Nokia Lumia 800. Volume levels of Focus 2 were more than Lumia 800.
The call clarity was also good. On a 2G network, we were able to converse well even in a low signal zone.
Storage capacity of Samsung Focus 2 disappoints. It has got just 8GB of storage and it can't be extended by any means. Card Slot is absent in both the phones. Nokia Lumia 800 offers 16GB of storage (twice than that of Focus 2).
Under the regular usage, Samsung Focus 2 lasted for 46 hours i.e. around 2 days whereas Nokia Lumia 800 lasted for 39 hours. Battery backup of Samsung Focus 2 is much better than Lumia 800.
(Our regular usage: 1 hour of Music, Around 3 hours of Web Browsing over a Wi-Fi Network and Angry Birds for 45 minutes. Around 60 text messages and 40 minutes of Voice conversation on a 2G Network)
Price:
The Unlocked Samsung Focus 2 will cost you $399 in the US markets whereas for Nokia Lumia 800 you will have to pay around $400. Samsung Focus 2 isn't available in the Indian markets. Ordering it from Amazon US will cost you around INR 25000 whereas Nokia Lumia 800 is available in the Indian markets. In the streets you will get Lumia 800 for around INR 22000
Verdict:
If you are looking for a 4G phone the you should definitely go for Samsung Focus 2. Otherwise we'd suggest you to go for Nokia Lumia 800. Despite of its big display and sleek design, Focus 2 disappoints when it comes to storage. The Camera of Nokia Lumia 800 is also on the better side.
