We have started to notice some big names in the Android
Department already. After dealing with HTC’s One X, we fixed our appointment
with the almighty Samsung Galaxy S III. Samsung is keeping its reputation up to
the mark with Samsung Galaxy S II followed by Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S III. The
Samsung Galaxy S III is the best Android Smartphone we’ve ever met, but still
there were a few things which let us to take our fingers out.
Comparing some of
its features with the other Smartphones available in the market, we were able
to point out a few drawbacks in the phone. Samsung Galaxy S III - Drawbacks
The S-Voice App
We have seen this kind of feature before also. Not too long
ago Apple iPhone 4S’s Siri app came as an innovation. You can talk to your
phone and it will do everything for you. The S-Voice feature does everything
but, it isn’t as good as Siri. Siri used to do some humor in between but
S-Voice seems to be more serious. If you sit to choose between 4S and S III on
the basis of Siri and S-Voice, end up taking iPhone 4S
with you.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy S III has got a Super AMOLED Display. The
HTC One X shipped with an IPS display which is better than the display of
Samsung Galaxy S III. Though it has got good color temperatures, but brightness
levels of the display aren’t better than One X. We noticed that the IPS display
had really good viewing angles, but Samsung Galaxy S III lacks behind in
viewing angles when you compare it with HTC One X.
Design
The shell of the Samsung Galaxy S III is made up of plastic.
We don’t have any issues regarding the plastic but we do oppose the Aluminum affect
given on the side panels of the body. That makes a buyer think that the shell
of Galaxy S III is made up of metal.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S III comes along with an 8 Mega Pixel
Clicker. The camera isn’t better than the camera of HTC One X. Photos which were
clicked outdoors was better, but in the dark conditions, Camera failed to
perform up to the mark. This kind of cameras always makes us to remember Nokia
N8’s 12 MP camera. Compare this one with Nokia N8’s camera, it’s standing way
behind.
Price
The initial price of the phone in the Indian markets is
around INR 39000 which way too high than the expectations. We were expecting it
to be around INR 36000. In the American and the European markets the Samsung Galaxy S III is priced well
Despite these things, Samsung Galaxy S III is the most
powerful Android device available in the market. If you have money, the you can
go for Samsung Galaxy S III.
