Fujitsu will show off an Android Tablet of 7 inches in Q3 2011

The Japanese giant Fujitsu has announced that it will be launching a 7-inch Android Tablet in Q3 2011. It is estimated that it would run Android 3.1 Honeycomb; there has been no official word on the matter, and no other details on the specifications, or even a name. Probably it will be powering the dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2, like so many of its Honeycomb predecessors; the first adopter of Intel’s new Atom offerings could be Fujitsu according to some speculations.

The price of the tablet will be between $347-694, announced by Fujitsu, and will be outsourcing production of the device to Taiwan for lower costs. Initially it is not expected that the tablet will make it to India, for now just Europe, Japan and the U.S., it’s possible the market in India for Android tablets and devices will attract the giant. After all, Acer, Samsung, Motorola, RIM, and Apple have all made their way into India with their tablet offerings.

Fujitsu along with this also declared that it would be making some changes to its existing 10.1-inch Windows 7 tablet for enterprises, the LifeBook TH40/D, by adding stylus support, and a 3.5G wireless module, by the time it launches it in Taiwan. New Series and P-series notebooks were also announced.
