Nokia 5235 vs. Samsung Monte S5620
Have a look on the specifications below:
The specifications are very good for a budget phones like these. But a closer comparision will make it more clear.
The Nokia 5235 is a cool awesome phone the simple but good looks make it to look like a smart phone. As compared to the Monte, nokia is decent, Samsung Monte
has a flashy look, the colour combination is not so good, the orange or the white strip over the side of the phone and the glossy black body makes a
very bad colour combination. It just looks as bad as the non-branded chinese phones.
For Looks +1 for Nokia
As everybody knows Nokia always stick to the Symbian; this gave a plus point to the Nokia. As compared; Samsung phone's runs on its own OS which is "Pathetic"
Symbian's rule because of the availbility of Apps. As compared samsung can run "0" 3rd party apps. So for official use like the Office etc the Samsung phone
is of no use as you have to use the apps given by samsung itself.
Till now the points clear that Monte is not good but its not so.
Nokia lacked in the most important features which are required for a Smartphones. Yes, That's 3G! Nokia 5235 lacks 3G which is the must for any smart phone.
India is expecting 3G to be launched in the next year when every opreator's Spectrum will be accepted. So 3G does makes the point. Nokia not only lacks 3G
but also the WiFi adapter. In country like India it doesn't matter's much for a WiFi over the city, but in Instutions like IIT its the must. So for students
Nokia is not a best buy. In that point Samsung provides a best VFM!. Nokia has its own Ovi store which allows the Music Freaks to download free songs from it
without any charges just a GPRS connection. So that's a good thing nokia has adopted. The good thing of the Ovi store is, the songs which are not available
over the internet (Legal Downloads) are available there.
Monte specs really impressive, the phone is 3G Enabled with a 3.0" touchscreen but the touch screen is really not responsive (personal check). Both of them
come with GPS so no issue of comparibility. Let's move towards camera, Samsung's camera is really good 3.2Mp, as compared Nokia has ( mp) but Samsung's
night mode, smile detection is really good while the panoramic mode is awesome. The video capture is also astonishing (320x240). So samsung win's here.
Nokia has got extra-ordinary feature which most of the smartphones has got (Thank's Symbian) the landscape mode which the Samsung Lacks.
However from this comparision the conclusion comes to
Wifi & Camera vs Looks, Landscape, Performance , Music, Resolution, Video playback etc.
So if one is going to use a phone for a year and change it the next year, we highly suggest Nokia as still 3G is not that in use in India. But however from
all the features and specs Samsung Monte gradually wins (minus the Looks and OS)
