SpotWorld, a company thinks there’s still room in the mobile travel guide apps and services. So, they have launched an iPhone application describing it as a “new take on the classic travel guide concept.” Their trick is in combining user-generated travel content with check-in functionality, allowing users to access existing itineraries as well as contribute their own content.
You will be able to access over 500,000 locations across North America, Europe and Asia — including such places of interest as museums, local landmarks, zoos, attractions, amusement parks, eateries, shopping districts and famous city streets, as a user. Additionally, you can also create your own itinerary and share it with other users. Adding more to it, you can check-in at places (to earn flags and points), and add tips, photos and ratings to places you’ve visited.
