Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
Beginning with the Ultrabooks, Acer announced couple of Aspire
S7 series of Ultrabooks. One had the display of 13.3 inch and other had the
display of 11.6 inch. Both the Ultrabooks are touch enabled. For the first time
we have seen such an innovation in this category. According to Acer, the 13.3
inch Aspire S7 will give the battery backup for 12 hours whereas the 11.6 inch
Aspire S7 will give the battery backup for 9 hours.
Backlight of Aspire S7 series was one of the main features of
Ultrabook. The backlight of the Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabook is light-sensitive. It
adjusts according to the lighting conditions of the surrounding. Acer also came
up with Twin Air cooling system for both the Ultrabooks. It keeps the temperature
in control. Both the Aspire S7 Ultrabooks sport the thunderbolt port.
Processing power of the Ultrabooks hasn’t been revealed yet. But as we
mentioned earlier, both the Ultrabooks will run Windows 8.
Acer Iconia Tablets
Coming towards the tablets, the new Iconia tablets will run
on Windows 8. This time there were two Iconia tablets in the showcase of Acer, The
11.6-inch Iconia W700 and 10.1-inch Iconia W510. Both the tablets will be
running the Windows 8. The Iconia W700 is blessed with a Full HD Display, a USB
3.0 port and a Thunderbolt port. The display has got the support for 10 finger
multi-touch. A keyboard can be paired with the Iconia W700. An external casing
also comes with the tablet which increases the USB 3.0 ports to three.
You can attach a Bluetooth keyboard to the tablet and use it
as a notebook. The Iconia W700 sports a 5 MP camera on the rear side.
On the other hand, the Iconia W510 comes along with a chiclet
keyboard. It’s slimmer than the Iconia W700 but there’s no USB 3.0 support for
this one. It sports an 8MP camera with flash. You can pivot it completely when
it is docked to the keyboard to use it as a tablet.
Acer U Series All-in-One's
Finally, Acer released two All-in-One’s which will join the
line of its U series. A 27 inch Aspire 7600U and 23 inch Aspire 5600U. Both of
them will ship in with Windows 8. Both these All-in-One’s are having a Full HD
Display.
The 7600U features a 64-point simultaneous touch from all
angles. This will allow multiple users to use it at once. The screen has the unique ability to be tilted
from 0 to 90 degrees, allowing it to be flat against a table.
Acer hasn’t revealed the Technical Specifications of these
devices. No word on the pricing of the tablet was revealed. These devices will
hit the markets after four months as Windows 8 will hit the shores after four
months only.
