LG revealed its next generation 3D phone i.e. LG Optimus 3D
Max in MWC 2012. The expectations from the device are quite high after the fall
of its predecessor i.e. LG Optimus 3D. We got a chance to play with this device
for some amount of time. We pointed some of the flaws in the device. Here’s the
list of drawbacks of LG Optimus 3D Max.
LG Optimus 3D Max - Drawbacks
Design
Though the build quality of Optimus 3D Max is excellent but
there’s nothing new in design. LG still stays in the line of Old School
Smartphones. LG needs to work on some interesting designs. That’s the only way
to attract bulk of customers towards their stores.
Software and User Interface
In the age of Android 4.0, the Optimus 3D Max comes with
Android 2.3 Gingerbread as a Stock OS. We have seen in the past that LG rolls
out the update very late when compared to other manufacturers. The phone is
equipped with a 3D interface which looks very simple. There’s nothing really
cool about the User Interface of the software.
Display
The resolution of the 4.3 inch display of Optimus 3D Max is
just 480x800 pixels which is considered to be on the lower side. In the recent
past we have seen HD Displays coming into play in some of the Android Devices.
At least a qHD Display was expected from LG this time. The brightness and the
color temperature of the display are less than what we get in other devices
these days. You will face some problems while using the phone under the bright
sun.
Camera
The Optimus 3D Max is equipped with Dual-Cameras of 5 MP
with an LED Flash. It allows you to snap 2D as well 3D photos. You can also
record 3D HD Videos using the camera. The thing which disappointed was the
quality of photos clicked indoors. Noise was clearly visible in the images. The
3D videos which were recorded outdoors didn’t weren’t having sharp details. The
color temperature of the recorded videos also wasn’t good.
Battery
The Optimus 3D Max comes with a battery of 1520 mAh. Under a
regular use the battery won’t last even for single day. So that’s really
disappointing for the phone which comes with 3D capabilities.
So these were the major point of worries in LG Optimus 3D
Max. So you still interested in buying this one? Share your views by leaving a
