After every new release a gadget gets hacked, but this never happened to the SONY PS3. So the gamers had to stick to the original BD's from 2006 to 2010 (Approx. 4 years) to play games. But its no longer now, PS3 too can be MODDED, Jailbreaked in the case of PS3.
The Jailbreaked users are able to play games by copying in on Hard-disk drive (could be also Desktop HDD or Laptop HDD). The PS3 is JB'd using a USB Device which is available on PS Jailbreak for around 150$. However one can also JB their consoles using an iPhone, Andriod Devices, N900 or even a calculator (not tried though) :)
The Jailbreak is not permanent, once you remove the USB Device or your JB'ing source then the JB is no more. This helps you in keeping your warranty safe. SONY will surely take some action against this, let's see as time travles. We have herd that they will BAN the JB'd systems which are detected.
