Nielson group conducted a survey with the help of US consumers abouit their choice of smartphone os.The resul was people were more reclined towards Android.
Last year , months july and September a similar type of Survey was conducted and most of people voted for IOS, but thwn the same question was re-asked this year between January and March, People answered Android instead of IOS. Android is the only os whose Desirability didn’t decline.
Six months have passed since September 2010 and now half of the people who buy new smartphones go for Android and only a quarter for iOS. The remaining quarter is dominated by new BlackBerries (15%, remember this is just for the US) with the occasional Windows Mobile/Phone 7 (7%) and WebOS and Symbian barely registering.
The final Standings by Neilson group survey in march 2011
Android In first Position with 37%
IOS In second Position with 27%
Blackberry OS in third Position 22%
Windows Phone 7 and Windows Mobile -10%
Second and third position is still good, But android being in the top is a achievement.10% of the market due is Microsoft.
Thats not bad at all as the all the companies have respective feature but Android turns out to be most popular.
