Opera Appcelerate a good way for Dev's to promote Opera Mobile Store

Opera Software’s recently launched mobile Store is seriously being worked upon. The company unveiled Opera Appcelerate at the AppNation in San Francisco, a special program designed to help developers promote their apps “in a big way.”

As part of the deal, developers are able to target platform(s), handsets and regions they want. Opera will match co-marketing funds for qualified developers to promote their application(s), effectively doubling their power for a limited period of time. We’re not exactly sure about what “qualified developer” actually means, but this does sound like a compelling offer. Additionally, select apps will get a special spotlight (featured promotion) within the Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers.

It really sounds cool when you really consider that Opera Mobile Store is among the top 10 largest in the world, spanning 200+ countries, 100+ million users and every platform.

Reminding you, Appia helped Opera Software launch its Mobile Store, which you can access from mobile web and opera’s mobile browsers as well.
