Photosynth arrives on Windows Phone OS

If you have a Windows Phone in your pocket and you spend some amount of time while clicking the photos around then we have got some great news for you. Taking panoramic shots with the camera of your Windows Phone wasn’t possible before. But now you will able to take 360o panoramic shots with the help of Microsoft’s Photosynth.

Everyone was expecting that Microsoft will launch the app for its own system soon after Photosynth was released for the iOS platform around a year ago. But after a long wait, Photosynth finally has arrived for the Windows Phone Platform. Here’s a detailed note about Microsoft Photosynth

What is Photosynth?

Photosynth is technology developed by Microsoft for creating 3D panoramas from individual 2D shots. You can take a shot of 360o view with the help of Photosynth.

How Does Photosynth App Works?

Start the Photosynth app on your Windows Phone. Now start taking pictures with the app. Once you are done with snapping the shots all around, the Photosynth app will start showing its magic. The App will automatically stitch all the snapped shots together into a single panoramic image.

You can also share the panoramic shot on Facebook or Twitter with the built in social networking tools. Not just the final panoramic image, but you can also share the 2D shots which were the compliments of the 3D panoramic image.

Requirements of Photosynth

If you think that you will be able to run the app on cheap Windows Phones having 256 MB or 384 MB of RAM then you are thinking wrong. This app requires at least 512 MB of RAM on your Windows Phone. The OS of your Windows Phone should be updated to the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

The Photosynth app is available in the Windows Marketplace. You can download it for free from here also.
