Viewty Snap is one of the 2G Touch screen phones from LG. LG has released a lot of smart phones in the market. They haven’t got that much trust in the cell phones market but they are trying to be in hunt by releasing some good and cheap smart phones for a daily user.

Build Quality:
The Phone is simple and good in looks. It has got a resistive touch screen which looks good. The Dimensions of the phone is 108 x 53.1 x 12 mm. The materials and the hardware of the phone are also good. It is designed very well; you hardly can point out any fault in its design. The phone is also very light in weight.
In Front, you can see a loudspeaker on the top. Just below it there’s a LG logo and below it there’s 3 inch resistive touch screen. At bottom three standard push buttons; first one for receiving/making calls, second one for moving one step back/opening menu and the third one for ending /cancelling calls.
In right, at top, there’s a volume rocker and at bottom there’s a standard camera button for capturing pictures and videos using the camera.
In left, there’s a microUSB port which can be used for data transferring as well as for charging the phone.
At top there’s 3.5mm audio jack, so you can plug in your favorite headphones and enjoy the music. There’s also a power/lock button which reduces the chances of turning the phone off by mistake.
At backside of the phone there’s a 5 megapixel digital camera. There’s also a LED flash just beside the camera.

Features and Performance:
LG Viewty has got a resistive touch screen which gives average performance. But the plus point of the screen is that it is 3 inches long. So there’s lot of space between the icons and you can press them easily. But still we recommend that you should use stylus. It runs on the traditional LG software. It has got S-Class eye-candy which enhances the looks of the phone while browsing on the phone. The status screen looks very similar to the android’s status screen
The phone comes with lots of preloaded apps like calendar, notes, a mini music player, a FM radio and many other apps. It has also got Facebook and Twitter. So it helps to you to stay connected with your friends.
We really liked the facebook app. It is made differently for this phone and nicely touch optimized. Its interface is quite familiar so you can start facebooking on the go.
Twitter application is not that great. It isn’t that friendly touch app as facebook app.

Phone has got just two connectivity options. It has got a Class 10 GPRS which will give you speeds around 32 to 48 kbps which is good for using facebook and twitter and a little bit of browsing but not tha good for downloading. It has also got Class 10 EDGE which speeds upto 236 kbps which is decent.
The phone has got two input methods, both on-screen keypad and QWERTY touch keyboard options are available. . It has also got handwriting recognition but we were not satisfied with this feature. We’d rather recommend you to use Keypad or QWERTY!
The camera of the phone is pretty good. I give decent pictures (max resolution:- 2592 x 1944) under the lights as well as in a dark room too. It has got autofocus and a LED Flash. It can record videos too. Video quality is not that good.

When it comes to storage this phone is not far behind. It can store 1000 entries in phonebook. It has got internal storage of 60 MB and you can extend it up to 16 GB via micro SD card.
Sound quality of the phone is good. Loudspeakers performed well under the circumstances. Call clarity is excellent. Music output was decent even at high volumes. The bundled headphones gives out good music output.
It has got a Standard Lithium Ion Battery of 900mAh. The Standby time of the phone is around 300 hours and you can talk up to 5 hours.
Talking about some other features, it has got a v2.1 Bluetooth with A2DP. It has got MIDP 2.0 Java, Stereo FM with RDS, Document Viewer and Organizer

In India this phone is priced at Rs.8000 which we think is OK. But we hunted down in the streets to get the price down. We didn't believed but we got this for just Rs.6200. But you can also get this at the same price. Just Move to the THIS link. At this price this is just fabulous.
